The Gringos Norfolk Concert reviews
Colossal Bonamassal!
Here is the rearranged review with a few words switched:
"The evening began with some standard blues tunes....alright, I thought - this band is very solid and the guy is very adept. The playing became more dazzling, the songs more intricate, until the first (early) climax arrived gradually. The Gringos seized the acoustic guitar and proceeded to lay down (was it 6 minutes?) of pure joy on a group of listeners who stood stunned by the virtuosity. The room erupted in appreciative applause and screaming, and breathed a sigh of relief when yet another polished and gleaming axe was handed to The Gringos by his lovely assistant. The soulful tones started leaping skyward, and the audience was once again worked into a frenzy. Warmly the plaudits rang out - the demand was made for an encore, and The Gringos and the Band lovingly paid tribute to the recent passing of music legend Les Paul. A final bow - and it was over. This must be what heaven is like..."
